Uncle Snoop Once Again Delivered At The Mary Jane Wellness Retreat

Depending on weather during the month of April in Colorado is very unpredictable especially when it comes to having major events. The weather for 4/20 weekend forced a reschedule to the Wiz Khalifa and Lil Wayne show. The residual effect of the weather left the Merry Jane Wellness Retreat a bit chilly at the start but was warmed up with performances by Tory Lanez, Kevin Gates, Future and the DoggFather, Snoop Dogg.

Since the concert took place at Comfort Dental Amphitheater, there is a mandatory 10:30 pm curfew, so you could imagine that the show got to a start very quickly. Tory Lanez and Kevin Gates ran through their list of songs such as “LA Confidential” and “2 Phones.” As the sun set, Future made his appearance, coming out to his anthem, “Thought it Was a Drought” and then running through his catalog of recent hits. I will say that this Future experience was a little less memorable because it felt rushed. It was nonetheless a great set.

Not surprisingly, Snoop Dogg closed out 4/20 with a journey through time of his classics. Snoop blessed us with verses from “The Last Episode,” “P.I.M.P.,” “Nuthin’ but a “G” Thang,” and shockingly, “California Girls.” He gave us “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” “Gin and Juice” and “Who Am I (What’s My Name)?” Unsuspectingly, Kurupt accompanied Snoop and was able to perform “We Can Freak It” which delighted the crowd very much. Snoop did not disappoint, although it would have been nice to hear songs off of his newest album, I was definitely satisfied.

Snoop also stated that he would be back to Colorado for every single 4/20 for here on out. So for all of my potheads out there, make sure you guys check out his Merry Jane publication to get caught up on the latest happenings in the weed world. Snoop is a legend in the rap game, and he’s furthering his legacy in the weed game, enjoy.
